Gian Antonio Benacchio
graduated in 1980 from the Faculty of Law of the University of Padua

– From 1981 to 1984, Research Fellowship, L. Bocconi University, Milan.

– 1984 Grant by the Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR), for eight months research period at Zagreb University Faculty of Law (Croatia) and at Beograd University Faculty of Law.

-1985/1986 and 1986/1987: Professor of Private Law at Trento University.

– From 1987 to 1996: Professor of Private Law at L. Bocconi University, Milan

– From 1992: Associated Professor of European Community Private Law at Trento University, Faculty of Law.

– From 1999: Full Professor of European Community Private Law at Trento University, Faculty of Law.

– Has been also professor of East Europe Law system, International Commercial Law, Alternative Dispute Resolutions, European Community Law and Private Law at Trento University Faculty of Law.

– From 2005: Director of the Trento Summer School on advanced UE Competition Law and economics, University of Trento (Moena di Trento)

– Since 2006: he is organizer of the biennial Antitrust Conference at the Faculty of Law, a traditional event of international importance.

– From 2018 to 2023: Director of the PhD Programme in Comparative and European legal studies in the Trento University.

– In 2018 is National Rapporteur at the XXI General Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law, on the topic “Transparency in consumer contracts”, Fukuoka (Japan)
